StC Pentesting Fundamentals Study Group — Week #12 Recap

Last week we had our twelfth session of the Pentesting Fundamentals Study Group.

We covered Chapter 11 Scripting for Penetration Testers of the CompTIA PenTest+ Study Guide and learned the scripting basics of the following languages: Bash, Powershell, Ruby and Python.

We also watched IppSec’s video on how to get root level access on the Netmon Hack The Box (HTB) machine.

This week, Tom is paying us a visit to hold another cyber security challenge where participants get to hack into an intentionally vulnerable realistic environment!
